When they found out it was my wife’s birthday they gave her a box of six sweetened biscuits and a $20 gift card to come back! These folks know how to treat their customers. I had the Squawking Goat and my wife had the Chicken Spud Bowl. We placed our order and enjoyed some pretty good coffee while we waited. And absolutely wonderful and friendly staff greeted us. The place was very clean and we got there just after it opened up. It was a Disney theme that Saturday morning and the staff were all dressed in Disney themed shirts and outfits and they had music from the many dis Eustis movies over the years. I found Maple Street Biscuit Company on a Google Maps search and saw. For my wife’s birthday we were looking for a different breakfast place to try out. MoreĮvery once in a while you find a gem when you’re trying to find a new restaurant. Maybe our experience would have been better. I would have hoped to catch them at a time when the biscuits were just coming out of the oven. Being in the South they have a lot of work to do to live up to their name. I saw the cook trying to pull one of the biscuits apart to put on a plate and he was having a hard time getting it done. I suspect that they make the biscuits in quantity then freeze or refrigerate them. Sad that we probably won't go back mainly because of the poor quality of their biscuits. I got the mashup (potatoes, onions, green abducted pepper with melted cheddar cheese. The gravy was just barely warm and it's flavor was not anything exceptional. The cinnamon roll was only slightly better because it had icing. fluffy or hot-more like heavy hockey pucks. His biscuits were hard and not at all light and. Husband got the extra-ordinary biscuit with gravy and two eggs (ordered medium) and a cinnamon biscuit. One big problem: It's the Maple Street BISCUIT Company so you would expect big, light, fluffy, and hot biscuits. Knoxville I will only go to the Kingston Pike location. No place for this poor level of excellence in the restaurant industry. My Americano basically tasted like the lady had been nothing but expresso. An America is an expresso shot(s) with hot water. Also my Americano was the worse I ever had. Food was not as good as the Kingston Pike location. Go to chick Fil A instead of the Hardin Valley location. This location needs to retool and remove the lady taking the order if they plan on surviving. The Kingston Pike location is by far as better location. Outside of that it would have been a 1 star rating. I give a two star because the cook was very engaging. for Almond milk with my Americano she said we don’t have any because the girls have not made it to work yet. Her initial greeting was not “good morning and how can I help you” She said “Have you ever been hear before”. I made the journey for breakfast and was highly disappointed with the lady who was taking the order.
